Even with that being said I would not advise Ericsson the author of "The Ways We Lie" not to delete the definition inserts she used in her paragraph. I say that because it helped her get her point across clearly.

Yes, I do believe the essay "The Dog Ate my Disk, and Other Tales of Woe" was funny. I say this because some of the excuses used in the essay a college student do use, but in the essay some students just took it too far.

Based on my own observations of male and female communications, I do believe that Tannen's analysis were accurate. I do not mind having conversation with my boyfriend, but when we do I like to hear his feedback on things.

In my own opinion, I do believe the authors characterized the society accurately. I say this because our generation have a lot more stuff and much higher material expectations than our previous generations before us did.

The television has had a somewhat neutral effect on me as a child, I say this because I was a child who was always stayed inside, but never watched too much TV. No, I do not believe that carrying a gun was the only choice for Hasselstrom, because she could have taken more steps that what she did to ensure her safety, but since she chose to get the gun I guess she felt like it gave her more security if anything was to happen.
